When everyone can create and build, the value of creating and building goes to zero and shifts to knowing *what* to create (and then into knowing how to get that creation in front of people it will benefit most).
Gone are the days where a scattergun, volume approach would work. People are drowning in AI-generated slop and content that is produced for content's sake. The value now is in authenticity and proof-of-human. So wherever possible, don't use AI in place of your own demonstration of that. Use it to streamline processes, offload trivial or mundane tasks or the boring parts of building. But don't let it do the part that matters most: creative, authentic, demonstrably human work.
It is true that building things now is cheap, but getting attention is expensive. I have a product I want to sell and I'm starting now to build my audience. They think I'm just making contents but they don't understand I am driving them towards a product.
The shift from $1M solo creators to AI-leveraged hyper efficient businesses is less about tech and more about clarity. AI can multiply output, but it can’t generate taste, vision, or genuine positioning. That part still requires being deeply honest about your unique design.
It sounds like you could possibly benefit from a life coach to help you with your mind frame about content creating and your goal of assisting others. I presented the idea to my therapist to create a goal timeline that mimics life coaching since I get therapy for free through my insurance but life coaching would be out of pocket payments. So this might be an option for you as well possibly. You'd gain Clarity on what it is you're trying to share and feel confidence by having an accountability partner. Best of luck to you!
If I may, one extra piece of advice: be brave in putting those in action. Brave in execution. Brave in thinking and trying. Please, don't play it safe. We need more brave new writers.
I really appreciate this perspective, Dan, especially the idea that AI shouldn’t replace the part of the work that makes the work yours.
I’m building around a question I genuinely care about: what makes a man’s life better?
And the more I use AI, the more I realize that the real advantage isn’t being able to produce more. It’s having more life, taste, experience, and ideas worth multiplying in the first place.
AI can help me research, organize, connect ideas, and build systems around my thinking. But it can’t go live my life for me. It can’t have the conversation that changes my mind, notice something at dinner, struggle with an idea for three weeks, or decide what I believe is worth saying.
So perhaps the one-human business has an interesting paradox:
The more powerful the technology becomes, the more valuable it becomes to develop the human behind it.
Execution is getting cheaper and cheaper. Most hardworking people can build an app/saas now, but I don't think we're "living in the age of the idea guy" now. Even great ideas are cheap at this point.
It's distribution that matters most, and ironically, as AI slop propogates the web, it's getting harder!
I think Markus Persson creating Minecraft by himself over a weekend is about as close at generational success gets for people creating outsized returns from their work

That's what will set you apart.

Interesting ideas.
The dots are starting to connect for me now.

Thanks for these tips, I find them very handy!

Well crafted. The posting strategy and AI agents listed for brand optimization does it for me. 👏 👏 👏

great article.
I use my knowledge and expertise in finance and use AI to amplify my edge in equity research.
I truly believe this is the future. This is the way to surpass other people.
You don’t just use AI. It is your knowledge + social media + AI.
Love this Dan. The shortcut is what kills.
As a beginner in writing, this comes extremely useful with clear stages and approaches. Appreciate it !

That’s the part I’m most excited about.
