I love the Permissionless Apprentice model. Just go and do the work for somebody (or yourself), asking nothing in return.

It’s so good. If I went back to my freelance web designer days I’d have a lot more fun just making projects for people I want to work with rather than sending cold emails all day.

The worst thing to do when you're living in a permissionless economy, is not building a healthy relationship with appearing stupid when starting.

I blame my schooling for making me think of failure as a shame.

Honestly, I'm still working on unlearning everything I was conditioned to believe.

Hope I create something worth it.

Graat to have you here, Dan.

Hey @DAN KOE Happy to see you here.. Took 2 hour writer last year… and am still stuck on MOC.. .. Still learn from it. Still get reminded daily that clarity beats complexity every damn time. Building in public, and dreaming of a life of freedom..

Only up from here. 🚀

Substack’s the perfect next move. Pumped to see how you break it open here.

The fact that I can now listen en read at the same time is fantastic.

I really do like that you have a paid news letter instead of courses.

I’m going to save this concept for the moment I can monitize my audience.

Dan, how can we think something new(May to the world or to us) ?

By stopping to consume, questioning, reflecting, analyzing and thinking.(This is I know how)

What is/are yours ?

Something new can be anything i.e. a word, sentence, product,..

Ever since I started writing onlien and creating something special, I'm learning new things daily and I'm improving my skills like never before. I learned more important things for the future in the last 2 years of creating than during my school years.

Thank you Dan for your words! You opened my eyes to a lot of possibilities and perspectives in the last years. I can't wait to read more!

"future success boils down to skill, agency, critical thinking, and a healthy relationship with fear, failure, and embarrassment" << I tried to change enough schools from within by banging this drum, almost word for word. I eventually gave up trying in 2017. No school system is free and nimble enough to truly embrace this reality. Thank [insert deity or force of you choice] for Substack! This is a very positive asset in a contemporary learning system.

What do you think about these old verses: 只问耕耘,莫问收获 ("Focusing only on cultivating, asking not about harvesting").

While everyone's chasing viral moments, you're teaching how to build intellectual infrastructure that stands for decades. That distinction between 'trend-proof' and 'future-proof'? That alone rewires how we think about creating value. The anti-hustle manifesto we've needed.
