My friends thought I was crazy too
How to write about your interests on the internet, the right way
About 6 years ago, I started writing on the internet.
My friends thought I was crazy. Seriously. They meant well, but would always slightly make fun of what I posted (you learn to brush it off).
I was just sharing the ideas that I thought were important.
Because I loved studying personal growth, philosophy, business, psychology, and more. The only way I saw myself spending more of my time with those subjects I loved was to turn them into what I do for work.
And writing online was the most viable option to do that.
Fast forward to now, and I’ve built quite a sizeable audience. Over 5m+ people (which is great, but even once I reached 5,000, I was able to leave my job). And all I do is write about the ideas that I love learning about. That’s my entire job.
So many people try and fail at becoming a “creator” or “personal brand” or just someone who writes online.
Frankly, it’s because they don’t treat it as a skill they can acquire.
They think they can just show up and write something clever and expect to grow.
Doesn’t work that way. And if it does for a few lucky people, it’s because they have unconscious competence.
The reality is, you have to learn branding, marketing, sales, psychology, attention mechanics, and social media itself.
It takes a long time to do all of that. Years.
That’s why I’m running the creator bootcamp.
To teach you a system for novel idea generation, creating a niche of one, the ins and outs of writing posts, newsletters, and scripts - and more. The result is a skill that compounds for life.
It starts in a little under 36 hours. Tomorrow is the last day to join.
If you have interests you love and want to start turning them into what you do for work:
» Consider enrolling here before then.
This will be a complete masterclass on meaningful branding and content, so if you want to learn everything in one place, this is it.
I hope to see you inside.

I'm locked in!!! Stoked for this creative season in my life.
I resonate with your writing and how you think. Started following you a few weeks after joining Substack. Recently took the leap into building my own creative and personal brand online. Also made my first post 6 days ago 😂. Long way to go, but I’m here for it
